The UK Data Service is a national data service that provides access to a wide range of social and economic data collections including UK census data and government funded surveys as well as qualitative and business data.

This presentation will provide an introduction to the location and retrieval of data from some of the more than 6,000 datasets available from UKDS. Key data types include:

  • UK Census data
  • Government funded surveys
  • Longitudinal studies
  • Cross-national surveys
  • International macrodata
  • Business microdata
  • Qualitative data
