Current Marshall Library services

We will return to normal term-time opening hours from Monday 4th October with two weekday closure gaps between 12:30 - 1pm and 4-5pm to ensure safe ventilation levels in the Library.

Browse and Borrow etc.

If you want to visit the Library briefly to ask for help, check the catalogue, browse and borrow or return a book please just swipe yourself in using your University Card. If you are from Economics or Development Studies your University Card will have been activated to give you access to the Marshall Library side of the Austin Robinson building. If you are from another Faculty or Department you will need to phone us on 01223 335217 and we can arrange for your card to be activated.

Book a Seat for Study Spaces from Monday 4th October

If you want a study space in the Marshall Library there are four sessions available : Monday - Friday 9.30am - 12.30pm, 1pm - 4pm and 5pm - 9pm and Saturday 11am - 5pm. You can book a session here.

Click & Collect : Monday to Friday 9am - 9pm / Saturday 11am - 5pm

Find the book you want to borrow on iDiscover and click on the link to fill out the Click & Collect Form. You'll receive an email as soon as your book is ready and this will tell you what you need to do in order to collect your book(s).

Scanning on demand

Where possible we will scan book chapters to support taught courses. Further information is available on our Scanning suggestion form.

Book purchase requests

If there are books or ebooks that you'd like to use that we don't have - or if you think that we don't have enough - please let us know via our Book suggestion form and we will investigate acquiring them.

Bloomberg & Eikon

You can book sessions on both the Bloomberg and Thomson Reuters Eikon terminals via the Marshall Library web page.
