Easter Vacation Borrowing

Undergraduate / MPhil / Diploma Easter Vacation Borrowing

UG / MPhil / Diploma students are entitled to borrow 5 books for the vacation. Vacation borrowing starts on:

Thursday 13th March 2014 at 9.00 am

All Open Shelf items must be returned to the Library by 7.00 pm on Wednesday 12th March.

To ensure all books are returned, overdue Open Shelf items will accrue fines of 50p per hour from 9.00 am on Thursday 13th March.

All books borrowed for the vacation will be due back on Thursday 24th April.

PhD / University Staff Easter Vacation Borrowing

PhD / Non-economics University staff are entitled to borrow 8 books for the vacation. Vacation borrowing has already started, and any book borrowed or renewed now will be due on:

Thursday 24th April 2014 before 7.00 pm.

Borrowers in these categories are exempt from the end-of-term recall of books and may simply renew their books online.

New for Easter 2014, for all users of the Marshall Library!

It will now be possible to renew vacation loan books on the 24th April 2014 - however, other readers will be able to put a hold on your books, so such a hold might prevent you from renewing your book. If that is the case, but you know that you won't be able to return them before, or on that day, please do not borrow any books over the vacation time, or be prepared to pay the fines.

Temporary Vacation Reserve Books suggestions

If you intend to stay in Cambridge for the vacation and want to ensure that the books you need are not borrowed and taken away please follow the link opposite and complete the Temporary Vacation Reserve Books suggestion form. We will then consider making the book(s) you suggest into temporary Reserve Books for the vacation.
